'I brought him a drink and then left-he likes to be left alone during work,' said the assistant, Veronica, about her husband, who was lying dead in his office. I don't understand how anyone could've got in here-I work at the desk outside...'

Lestrade looked around the office from the pictures on the walls to the desk. It bore the remain's of the man's lunch-Half-eaten sandwich, and a glass of water.

'Does he always drink water with ice?' Lestrade asked, looking at the glass which bore a few all-but-melted ice cubes.

'Yes. They've melted since then, but he likes his drink to stay cold.' She sighed. 'I wish I saw who went in...who did this...'

'Maybe they didn't have to be in the room,' Lestrade asked. He went on his phone, and asked that when the autopsy was done, they check for poison. Then he turned to the woman. 'Now,' he said, 'Maybe you wanna answer some questions, namely why you would want to kill your husband...'


How did she kill her husband?
